Turkey on Tuesday received the season’s first snowfall in capital Ankara and in the northwestern Bolu province following heavy rain.
In Ankara, snowfall was witnessed early morning in Dikmen, Oran, Incek and Ahlatlibel areas of Cankaya districts.
Ankara Municipality has taken precautions, while officials warned the drivers to remain careful in the wake of snow.
In Bolu, the snowfall affected the traffic at Anadolu Highway and Bolu Mountain section of the D-100 highway.
The thickness of the snow reached 10 centimeters (nearly 4 inches) and traffic teams warned the drivers to be careful while driving.
