Turkey reports 22 new deaths, 1,309 cases in the last 24 hours

Turkey has reported 22 new deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 6,102.

In a statement posted on his Twitter account, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca shared the latest official coronavirus figures in the country on Saturday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 257,032, after 1,309 more people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours.

While 762 patients are in critical condition, 236,370 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

6,247,164 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country.
