United States Defense Secretary Ash Carter has said that Turkey should be involved in the Mosul operation.
Carter's remarks came after his meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Defense Minister Fikri Işık.
Carter also visited the damaged parliament building, which was targeted during the July 15 coup bid of FETÖ terrorists.
Ash Carter is paying an official visit to Turkey, aiming at discussing three significant issues; the ongoing Euphrates Shield, the Mosul operation and the possible operation for Raqqa.
Carter first met with his Turkish counterpart Fikri Işık in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
