Despite all the risks and uncertainties, the biggest emphasis in the history of Turkey has been realized on crypto coins, which are seen as an easy money making door.

It was revealed that Faruk Fatih Özer, the founder and CEO of Thodex, which attracted great attention in our country as a domestic crypto money exchange, defrauded 390 thousand investors in Turkey for 2 billion dollars.

While an investigation is launched against Özer, who fled abroad, there is almost no legal obligation in Turkey against the crypto money markets.

The biggest emphasis in the history of Turkey was made on crypto money. A 2 billion dollar bill was made over Thodex, which emerged as the country's domestic crypto money.

It is stated that Faruk Fatih Özer, the founder and CEO of Thodex, defrauded 390 thousand investors. There is almost no legal obligation in the country against the crypto money markets, which are seen as an easy profit door against economic troubles and fluctuations in foreign exchange. Despite all the risks and unknowns, we discussed the increasing interest in the world and in our country with crypto money, as Milli Gazete, with economist Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin and lawyer Ömer Faruk Alimoğlu, a member of the Board of Lawyers Association.

CRYPTO MONEY IS NOT CONNECTED TO ANY AUTHORITY

Economist Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin, giving information about what crypto money is, "Crypto money is a shopping value produced by the means of digital media in an autonomous and anonymous manner, without being bound by any authority. However, cryptocurrencies have not yet turned into a full shopping value due to two features. The first is that central banks, which are the strongest strongholds of capitalism, do not allow the use of such a currency, and the second is that people like Elon Musk manipulate these currencies using their own names due to the legislative gap," he said.

"ALMOST NO LEGAL LIABILITY"

Lawyer Ömer Faruk Alimoğlu, a member of the Board of Lawyers Association, gave information about the legal aspects of cryptocurrencies, "Thodex is the first Turkish cryptocurrency exchange licensed in the USA. Its old name was koinex. Currently, when we want to establish an overseas licensed coin company in the country, it has almost no legal obligation. Any 'con' anyone who can show companies operating in Turkey. At this stage, the definition regarding cryptocurrencies may be ‘currency, etc. it should be evaluated as a currency exchange tool or a 'precious commodity'. Cryptocurrency companies are also obliged to be an "investment company", making it necessary to at least be subject to the CMB legislation," he said.

THE BIGGEST HIT IN THE HISTORY OF THE REPUBLIC

An investigation has been launched against the crypto currency exchange Thodex, whose website and system have been closed for the past few days and investors have not been able to access their own accounts. The Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office took action on the grounds that Thodex's website had not been accessible for two days and that many people were victimized. In this context, it was learned that within the scope of the investigation initiated ex officio by the attorney general's office, the statements of the stock exchange employees were taken. In addition, anti-cybercrime teams made examinations at Thodex's headquarters in Istanbul, Kadıköy.

While it was stated that Faruk Fatih Özer, the founder of Thodex, who closed the internet systems, closed his social media accounts and went abroad, Oğuz Evren Kılıç, one of the lawyers of 391 thousand investors who were victims of the closure of the crypto money exchange, said that Özer may have gone to Thailand.
