Turkey's benchmark index started the day with a 15.88-point increase on Wednesday.
On the third transaction day of the week, the BIST 100 index rose 0.02 percent to open at 97,733.36 points.
The banking sector index increased 0.12 percent while the holding sector dropped by 0.08 percent.
Among all sectors, the electricity sector index was the best performer with a 0.49-percent rise while the tourism sector index started the day with the biggest decline, falling by 0.77 percent.
At Tuesday's close, the BIST 100 jumped 1,317.45 points or 1.37 percent to see its highest level of all times at 97,717.48 points, with a total trading volume of 5.8 billion Turkish liras ($1.63 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 3.5720 at 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) Wednesday, compared with 3.5610 at Tuesday’s close.
