Turkey's benchmark stock index started the day with a 12.89-point or 0.01 percent rise to open at 106.229,89 points on Tuesday.
The banking and holding sector indices fell by 0.08 and 0.03 percent, respectively.
Among all sectors, the mining sector index was the best performer, up 1.35 percent, while the telecommunication sector index started the day with the biggest decline, falling 0.20 percent.
At Monday's close, the BIST 100 was up 1,041.27 points or 0.99 percent to reach 106,217 points, with a total trading volume of 4.7 billion Turkish liras (approximately $1.33 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 3.5260 at 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) Tuesday, compared with 3.5340 at Monday’s close.
