Turkey's benchmark stock index started Wednesday with a 3.91 points increase to stand at 103,933.24 points.
The banking index rose 0.03 percent and the holding index fell 0.10 percent.
Among all sectors, the sports index advanced the most with a 0.86 percent hike, while the construction sector index fell 0.63 percent.
The BIST 100 was up 1,659.16 points or 1.62 percent to 103,929.33 points at close on Tuesday. The day’s trading volume was 4.7 billion liras ($1.32 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 3.5540 liras to the dollar at 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), compared to 3.5480 at Tuesday’s close.
