The BIST 100 rose 0.88 percent or 943.88 points on Monday, opening at 107,906.98 points
The banking and holding sector indices rose by 1.12 and 0.82 percent, respectively.
While all sector indices started the day with an increase, the mining sector was the best performer with a 1.94-percent rise.
The market closed at 106,963.10 points on Friday after decreasing 0.78 percent during the day.
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 3.53 at 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) Monday, compared to 3.5390 at Friday's close.
