The BIST 100 rose 0.34 percent -- 369.41 points -- on Tuesday, opening at 108,984.28 points.
The banking and holding sector indexes rose by 0.31 and 0.20 percent, respectively.
The insurance index was the best performer with a 1.39 percent rise, while the textile and leather sector was the only one to see its index fall, by 0.29 percent.
The market closed at 108,614.87 points on Monday after increasing 1.32 percent during the day.
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 3.4980 at 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) Tuesday, compared to 3.4970 at Monday's close.
