Turkey’s benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, rose 106.91 points on Friday to open at 109.849,86 points.
On the last transaction day of the week, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index rose 0.10 percent.
The banking sector index fell 0.01 percent, while the holding index climbed 0.22 percent.
Among all sectors, the leasing factoring index was the best performer with a 2.11 percent rise, while the tourism index started the day with the biggest decline, down 0.56 percent.
The market closed at 109,742.95 points on Thursday after rising 0.12 percent during the day.
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate dropped to 3.4030 at 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) Friday, compared to 3.4130 at Thursday's close.
