“WE WANT TO A BREATH FOR THE FUTURE OF OUR WOMEN”

Mahmut Arslan, Chairman of Hak-İş Confederation and Hizmet-İş, stated that Hak-İş and Hizmet-İş have carried out successive projects and events for the rights of women in their working life in Turkey.

"The mothers and women of these lands are the real architects of this country with their labor in business and family life and the children they bring into the world. As Hak-İş/Hizmet-İş Union, we donate 37,343 saplings on behalf of our 37,343 female members, representing the women who are the architects of our past, present and future, and we are helping our women to breathe into our future," he said.

“THE MIND CHANGE IS NEEDED”

Arslan also stated that they are making efforts for women to take a more active role in union life.

"We increase the number of our female employees in our confederation and union, and ensure that our female employees take an active role in the development of women's rights. There has been a great transformation in the protection of women's rights and laws in recent years, but we do not see this speed of transformation as sufficient. We think that we need a change in mentality for a complete transformation on women's rights," he added.
