The head of Turkey's Religious Affairs Directorate Mehmet Görmez has written letters to 135 countries, aiming at warning them about the danger of the FETO and urging them to break off their relation with the group if a relation existed.
In his letter to the countries Görmez recalled the bloody coup bid by reminding them the incidents left 241 people martyred and 2,194 people wounded.
"The FETO terrorists are killing civilians without any hesitation; therefore this kind of an organization is a threat to any country," he wrote in his letter to 135 countries including Azerbaijan, Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikistan, Greece, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, India, Brazil, Chile and Ethiopia.
"These terrorists can hide themselves as successfully as chameleons by acting like their purpose is forming a peace atmosphere based on dialog, inter-religion tolerance and agreement," he wrote, adding that the group has already taken in millions of people.
Görmez also urged countries to cut all their ties with the terrorist group by taking lessons from what has happened in Turkey.
"It is a duty of all friends of Turkey to cut all ties with the terrorists," he added.
