Pakistan's Ambassador to Ankara Mohammed Syrus Sajjad Qazi spoke at the conference on "Kashmir" held at the Institute of Strategic Thinking.
Expressing that international law and human values are being violated in Kashmir, "The Indian government should stop the illegal measures it has taken to change the demographic structure of the region. It should stop killing Kashmiri youth with extrajudicial killings. Release Kashmiri youth and political leaders who have been illegally detained. It should allow Kashmiris to exercise their inalienable rights through a fair and impartial plebiscite to be held under the auspices of the United Nations (UN), as outlined in relevant UN Security Council resolutions," Qazi said.
TURKEY'S SUPPORT STRENGTHENS KASHMIR
Ambassador Qazi, who also thanked Turkey for its sensitivity on Kashmir, “Turkish support and solidarity is a great source of strength for the millions of oppressed people in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. This support makes an important contribution to the realization of Kashmiris right to determine their own destiny,” he added.
