Turkey’s death toll from coronavirus rises to 4,842

17 people have died from coronavirus pandemic in the last 24 hours in Turkey, rising the country’s death toll from the virus to 4,842, announced Fahrettin Koca, Turkish Health Minister, on his Twitter account on Tuesday.

Turkey has so far reported 181,298 confirmed coronavirus cases, an increase of 1,467 cases in the last 24 hours.

153,179 patients suffering from the disease have fully recovered from the infection and been discharged from hospital.

While 732 patients are being treated in intensive care unit, there are some 303 patients who are mechanically ventilated. 

A total of 2,71,003 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted in the country.
