Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan were authorized on November 7 to issue a dollar-denominated 2028 maturity bond within the framework of the 2022 foreign financing program, according to the announcement on the website of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance. While the said issue was concluded on the same day, the amount of the issue amounted to 1,5 billion dollars. The issuance amount will enter the accounts on November 15. The coupon rate of the bond with a maturity of January 15, 2028 was 9,875 percent, and the yield rate was 10 percent.
9 BILLION DOLLARS WERE INDEBTED BY "BONDS ISSUES" IN 2022
More than 150 investors demanded more than 3 times the issuance amount. 33 percent of the bond was sold to investors in the USA, 27 percent in Turkey, 22 percent in the United Kingdom, 10 percent in other European countries, 7 percent in the Middle East and 1 percent in other countries. With this bond issuance, a total of 9 billion dollars was borrowed from international capital markets in 2022.
