Turkish Airlines canceled its flights to Arbil and Baghdad on Oct. 17 due to the U.S.-led military operation to retake Mosul from the Islamic State (IS).
The flagship carrier’s scheduled flights from Istanbul’s Atatürk Airport to Arbil at 6:15 p.m. and Baghdad at 5:35 p.m. were mutually canceled due to the Mosul operation against IS, which was launched early on Monday. The airline said passengers to both destinations will be sent via other flights at night.
