Turkish amputee team reach final at European tournament

Turkey on Sunday reached final after beating Poland 2-0 in the semi-final game at European Amputee Football Federation (EAFF) European Championship in Istanbul.

Turkey on Sunday reached final after beating Poland 2-0 in the semi-final game at European Amputee Football Federation (EAFF) European Championship in Istanbul.
 
In the first half, the national team's effort was rewarded with one goal from Rahmi Ozcan in the second minute. Keeping its advance during the match, the Crescent-Stars scored their second goal in 50+1 minute, reaching the final of the tournament.
 
The Turkish team will take on England on Monday in the final game, which will be held at Vodafone Park in Besiktas district of Istanbul at 19.00 (1700GMT).
 
Earlier, the time of the contest was announced as 17.30 (1530GMT). 
 
Turkey defeated Germany 8-0, Georgia 9-0, Spain 4-0 and Russia 2-1 before reaching the semi-final. At Sunday's semi-finals, England defeated Spain 3-0.
 
Twelve teams attended the championship including Turkey, Belgium, England, France, Georgia, Greece, Germany, Irland, Italy, Poland, Russia and Spain.
