The Council of Higher Education (YÖK) filed a criminal complaint with the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor about 17 offices that make thesis, homework and graduation projects for a price.
It was stated that a public lawsuit was filed against an office for which a criminal complaint was made, on the charge of "attempting fraud to the detriment of public institutions and organizations".
It has been learned that the criminal proceedings against the relevant office continue.
THOSE WHO GRADUATED WITH THE PAID THESIS IS QUALIFIED AS A SCAMMER
In the statement made by YÖK, it is stated that publications such as thesis studies, graduation projects prepared by the working places such as thesis writing offices, operating under the name of consultancy offices, and graduating from the postgraduate education programs of higher education institutions or being appointed to the teaching staff of higher education institutions have a place in the Turkish Penal Code. It was pointed out that such activities are classified as fraud.
In the statement, it was stated that complaints about the processes related to the preparation of theses and similar scientific studies from many places in exchange for money were received by the Council of Higher Education, and it was stated that criminal complaints were filed against those who made studies by applying to consultancy or thesis writing centers and websites that were reached on the internet.
THERE IS A FRAUD SYSTEM ON PRIVACY
In the statement underlining that in the past, such denunciations did not result in a lack of evidence and decisions were not made,
Although, as a result of the denunciations, there are decisions about not prosecuting due to 'lack of evidence', there is a fraudulent system in which some academics write theses for money, and some students submit those theses to universities as if they are their own and cooperate in secrecy. It brings together offices such as the internet address that is the subject of the aforementioned denunciations, which states that they work under the same name.
A PUBLIC CASE HAS BEEN OPENED AGAINST ONE OF THE 17 CRIMINAL STATEMENTS
While it was pointed out that crime and criminals are only possible through existing centers, the public prosecutor's office and law enforcement agencies were asked to conduct sufficient research. It has been stated that YÖK has filed criminal complaints against 17 websites so far, and a public lawsuit has been filed against one of these companies responsible for attempted fraud.
