A striking similarity was widely circulated among Turkish news websites and social media circles on Monday as a Turkish bureaucrat who resembled main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu spoke during an opening ceremony marking the start of the new school year.

Professor Ahmet Bilgili, the deputy undersecretary of the Ministry of National Education, attended the first school day ceremony held in a secondary school in Istanbul's Esenler district.
As Bilgili went up to the rostrum to make his speech, attendees couldn't help themselves from noticing the resemblance between him and CHP's Kılıçdaroğlu.
The Turkish bureaucrat, who makes rare public appearances, said in his speech that ministry officials, joined by teachers and parents, will try to provide best opportunities for students in order to raise them as a generation devoted to the service of their nation and homeland.

This year, the first school week was dedicated to the failed July 15 coup attempt.
