An Istanbul court released the wife and daughter of a U.S. Consulate employee after questioning them over alleged links to the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), a judicial source said Monday.

The Istanbul Magistrate Judge’s Office released the relatives of the suspect identified as N.M.C., a Turkish employee at the Istanbul U.S. Consulate, on condition they do not go abroad and they check in with the police every week, said the source,

The wife and child were detained Oct. 9 in Amasya, a city in the Black Sea region, for suspected links to the FETO terror group that Ankara accuses of being behind last year’s defeated coup in Turkey. The pair were then transferred to Istanbul.

N.M.C was also summoned by Istanbul prosecutors on the same day for his testimony regarding similar allegations.

The questioning followed the remanding in custody of Turkish national Metin Topuz, also a consulate employee, on terror charges by an Istanbul court. Topuz has also been linked to FETO.

FETO and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gulen, is believed to have orchestrated the attempted coup that left 250 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.
