‘Eğitim-Bir-Sen’ Educators Union and Memur-Sen Confederation Chairman Ali Yalçın and ‘Eğitim-Bir-Sen’ Educators Union Secretary General Latif Selvi visited Chairman of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar and discussed the right of administrative personnel to relocate and the 50/D problem. During the visit, in which the problems of university employees were discussed and solutions were discussed, the right to relocation of administrative personnel and the problems caused by the employment of research assistants with 50/D were emphasized.
YALÇIN: “WE ARE COMING TO THE END”
Chairman Ali Yalçın stated that the work with the Council of Higher Education regarding the right to relocate the university administrative staff as per the collective agreement decision has come to an end, and said, "We have come to an end in the step that will open the door to the relocation of the administrative staff, which we have been talking about for years as the problem of the administrative staff, which we eventually turned into a collective agreement decision."
THE SOLUTION FOR 50/D IS CLOSE
It is also close to the solution of the problems caused by the employment of research assistants with 50/D. Emphasizing that this is the case, Yalçın added, “We launched a petition demanding a regulation that will ensure job security for research assistants within the scope of 50/D and that this regulation be implemented as soon as possible. We forwarded the signed petitions to Mr. Özvar. In addition, job security of research assistants working within the scope of Articles 33/A and 50/D of Law No. 2547; We have once again expressed that those who have completed their doctorate education should be appointed to the cadres of doctorate and those who have the title of associate professor should be appointed to the cadres of associate professors.”
Yalçın and Selvi also visited Deputy Chairman of YÖK Prof. Dr. Haldun Göktaş and Prof. Dr. Cevahir Uzkurt and wished them good luck in their new duties.
