Under the new types of coronavirus measures, charitable activities continue in mosques where worship is interrupted.
The shoe cabinet section of Hazrat Hamza Mosque was disinfected under the leadership of Imam Söylemez and turned into a "social market" for those in need.
The materials such as dry food, tea, sugar left by the philanthropists are taken by those in need.
"We were inspired by charity stones"
Fatih Söylemez, in a statement to the AA reporter, stated that many needers benefited from the application.
Söylemez said, "During our ancestors, there were charity stones. The wealthy people would leave their charity here, and those who need it would take as much as they need. Charity stones became an inspiration for us. We set off with our charitable people."
Saying that he has received positive feedback from the citizens, Söylemez said, "Although we have just started this good, the support is great and quite beautiful. I hope we will expand this aid ring."
