Turkish jets continued to hit Daesh targets in northern Syria on Monday, hitting over 130 objectives, the military said. The air strikes took place as part of Operation Euphrates Shield, the Turkish military added.
In air attacks targeting Daesh-held buildings, Turkish warplanes hit at least 138 targets, including terrorist shelters and headquarters, the Turkish Armed Forces said in a statement. Monday's counterterrorism operation is part of Turkey's ongoing campaign launched in late August to rid the northern Syrian border area of terrorists.
Under the operation, which has reached its 111th day, more than 1,800 square kilometers (694 square miles) of land in northern Syria have been cleared of Daesh terrorists.
