The budget marathon continues in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). At the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, discussions on the 12th Development Plan and the bill on urban transformation will begin.
In addition, it is expected that the General Assembly will begin discussions this week on the "Law on the Transformation of Areas at Disaster Risk and the Proposal on Amendments to Certain Laws and the Decree Law No. 375", which includes regulations for urban transformation.
JUDICIAL PROCESSES WILL BE ACCELERATED WITH THE REGULATION
With the proposal, administrative procedures established based on damage assessment reports, excluding transactions related to rights ownership, in places that are considered as disaster areas affecting general life due to the earthquakes on February 6, centered in Kahramanmaraş, provided that they are related to the damages caused by these earthquakes and subsequent earthquakes. New procedures are being introduced in annulment cases filed against.
The aim of the regulation is to speed up judicial processes. According to the bill, owners will be given a period of not more than 90 days at a time to demolish risky buildings, and if the evacuation of the buildings is prevented, they will be evacuated by law enforcement. Urban transformation can be carried out based on the decision taken by the absolute majority of the owners.
TREASURY BUDGET WILL BE DISCUSSED ON TUESDAY
Discussions of the 2024 budget will continue in the Planning and Budget Commission.
The commission will discuss the budgets of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance on Tuesday, October 31, the Ministry of Commerce on Wednesday, November 1, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security on Thursday, November 2, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports on Friday, November 3.
This week, the Turkish Grand National Assembly's Public Economic Enterprises Commission and the Human Rights Investigation Commission's Immigration and Integration Sub-Committee will also meet.
Group meetings of the political parties that have groups in the Parliament will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday.
