Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, met with journalists at the iftar program.

While Kurtulmuş reacted to the UN Security Council regarding Gaza, he also commented on South Africa's leading role regarding the trial.

"I express our gratitude to the government of South Africa for this beginning, this court, in the International Court of Justice, which they initiated to overthrow the second apartheid regime," Kurtulmuş said.

Kurtulmuş, in his speech after the iftar, wished that Ramadan would bring blessings.

“GAZA IS LIVING A DRAMA IN WHICH HUMANITY IS OVER”

Reminding that there are millions of saved Muslims who are not comfortable and safe at iftar time, "While we are talking here, we will hear about it on the news a little later; Unfortunately, food and words are stuck in our throats, maybe this evening at iftar time, dozens of innocent Palestinians, civilians, women, children and babies will be taken from their lives by Israeli planes and bombs. Gaza is experiencing a tragedy in which humanity is ending. Gaza has been witnessing a great massacre for more than five months, to which all humanity has been watching and powerless to intervene. The whole world knows that 75 percent of those who died were children, women and the elderly," Kurtulmuş added.

GAZA THANKS TO SOUTH AFRICA

Kurtulmuş said that with the case at the International Court of Justice, a new process has begun in the Palestine issue.

"Once again, from here, from Ankara, the capital of our Turkey, I would like to express our gratitude to the people of South Africa and the government of South Africa, who overthrew the first apartheid regime, for this beginning, this court, in the International Court of Justice, which they initiated to overthrow the second apartheid regime. In a place where it is debated whether justice, conscience and humanity are dead or not, the statement that 'Humanity is not dead' has been brought to the international law level by the South African government. We hope that after this, the necessary steps of the new era will be taken and finally the Netanyahu government, Netanyahu and his gang, who are the perpetrators of these great massacres and continue to commit these great crimes against humanity, amounting to genocide, knowingly, willingly, stubbornly and persistently every day, will finally be brought to justice at the International War Crimes Tribunal. They will give," Kurtulmuş said.
