Turkish Prime Minister, Binali Yildirim, is scheduled to meet Thursday, with managers of leading German companies in Ankara, the prime ministry sources said.
Yildirim will meet with businesses, which have investments in Turkey, at Cankaya Palace in Ankara at 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT), the sources said Wednesday.
His meeting comes after political tensions rose between Germany and Turkey because Berlin unveiled economic measures to put pressure on Ankara to release German citizen Peter Steudtner, who is being held on suspicion of being linked to terror groups.
German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel also announced last Thursday, it would not encourage German businesses to invest in Turkey, in an apparent attempt to also, increase pressure on Ankara.
