Within the scope of the ‘1 Qurban, 1 Qur'an’ project initiated by the Turkish Religious Foundation (TDV), philanthropists who gave the procuration for the qurban will also be able to present the Qur'an to those in need. Translations published in 8 different languages will be delivered to victims who have difficulty in reaching the Qur'an due to impossibility.
TDV General Manager Izani Turan, in his statement regarding the project in question, emphasized that Qurban and Qur'an donations are very important for those in need in our country and in oppressed geographies. Explaining that they deliver the translations in different languages to those in need, Turan said, “We are acting with the goal of not leaving any place on earth that our guide, the Qur'an, has not reached. We have helped those in need shape their lives based on the Qur'an by giving gifts to those in need in 81 countries, including Turkey, with 1 million 305 thousand Qur'an, which we have printed at home and abroad so far. We have published our great book abroad, primarily in Africa, the Balkans, Asia, and also Latin American countries, the Caucasus, We delivered it to madrasahs, mosques, Qur’an courses, universities and those in need in Asia-Pacific countries. In the country, our efforts to present a Turkish-language Qur'an to schools, dormitories, hospitals and prisons continue.”
THE TRANSLATION OF THE QUR'AN IS PRINTED IN 36 LANGUAGES AND DIALECTS
Underlining that the most important part of the project is the study of the Qur'an with meaning, Turan added, "We have published the translation of the Qur'an in 36 languages in total within the scope of the project, and our distribution in 8 languages is continuing. We also evaluate the requests for translations in local languages and dialects from the country and abroad. We are trying to support our oppressed and aggrieved brothers in this regard with the support of our benefactors.”
The benefactors, who click the ‘Donate Now’ button on the ‘www.tdv.org’ or ‘bagis.tdv.org’ internet address of the foundation, donate the Qur'an to those in need, with an additional fee of 50 Turkish Liras (TL), while making their Qurban.
