Turkey's benchmark stock index started the day with a 172.46-point rise to open at 95,286.52 points on Friday.
On the last transaction day of the week, the BIST 100 index rose by 0.18 percent.
The banking and holding sector indices increased by 0.23 percent and 0.06 percent, respectively.
Among all sectors, the wood, paper and printing sector index was the best performer with a 0.54-percent rise while the food and beverage index started the day with the biggest decline, falling by 0.41 percent.
At the close on Thursday, the BIST 100 was up 1,080.14 points or 1.12 percent to reach 95,114.06 points, with a total trading volume of 5.8 billion Turkish liras ($1.62 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was flat at 3.5810 at 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Friday, compared with 3.5800 at Thursday’s close.
The BIST 100 was up 1,080.14 points or 1.12 percent to reach 95,114.06 points at the close of trade on Thursday, with a total trading volume of 5.8 billion Turkish liras ($1.62 billion).
