Turkey's benchmark stock index BIST 100 started the day up 1.18 percent, reaching 102,494.09 points on Tuesday.
Turkey's BIST 100 index rose 1,196.09 points while the banking and holding sectors indices increased 1.67 percent and 1.18 percent, respectively.
All sector indices were up and the transportation sector index was the best performer, rising 2.74 percent.
The BIST 100 was down 2.73 percent or 2,839.48 points to close at 101,298 points on Monday with a trading volume of 6.1 billion Turkish liras (around $1.64 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate dropped to 3.6880 at 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) Tuesday, compared with 3.7170 at Monday’s close.
