Following the negotiations, which are expected to be completed this week, 5 thousand TL will be deposited into the accounts of millions of working retirees.

Following the end of budget discussions in the General Assembly of the Parliament, the General Assembly will devote the last working day of the year to the additional payment of 5 thousand liras to be given to working retirees. The 86-article omnibus bill is expected to become law this week, with the support of the opposition.

The 86-article omnibus law, which includes the additional payment regulation of 5 thousand lira, which is closely related to millions of working retirees who have difficulty making ends meet due to the high cost of living and inflation, is being discussed in the parliament.

Intensive work is being spent this week to complete the remaining articles of the omnibus bill, 43 articles of which were accepted before the budget marathon.

While the opposition is expected to support the omnibus bill due to the additional 5 thousand lira support arrangement to be given to retirees, it is expected that the proposal will be deposited into the accounts before the end of this week after being published in the Official Gazette.

SUPPORT FOR EXCHANGE PROTECTED DEPOSIT WILL CONTINUE

Another article included in the omnibus bill is the tax exemption on Exchange-Protected Deposit accounts.

While the tax exemption introduced despite the statement of the Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, "We want to exit the Exchange Rate Protected Deposits", raises question marks, other articles in the omnibus law are as follows:

"Extending the period given for restructuring company debts by another two years, increasing the penalty of those who sell construction and building materials at exorbitant prices in earthquake zones by 10 times, and expanding the scope of tax regulation for those who produce content on Social Media."
