The Turkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) has started preparations for the 7th of the "International Benevolence Awards", which it started in 2015 to spread and announce goodness and to raise awareness of good. For the international award ceremony to be organized by TDV, it has been announced that the extraordinary stories of people who have pioneered goodness all over the world, especially in Turkey, have begun to be collected.
THE EVENT HAS BECOME AN INTERNATIONAL BRAND
Giving information about the preparations for the International Benevolence Awards and the ceremony, which is traditionally held in March every year, General Manager of the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation, İzani Turan, said that the first event was held in 2015 within the scope of the 40th anniversary of TDV's establishment, and the 7th will be held in March 2023. He noted that the International Benevolence Awards have become a brand. Turan stated that the commission that will decide on the Stories has been established.
STORIES ARE STARTED TO COLLECT
Turan stated that the committee established to determine the candidates will determine the candidates meticulously and said, “Our colleagues in the commission started to collect the stories of benevolence pioneers scanned from the press and social media, with the suggestions of candidates to be sent to our web addresses, from our 13 branches, from the institutions we cooperate with in the country and abroad. Benevolence stories to be collected in the fields of education, science, humanitarian aid, health and environment will be evaluated within this scope and passed through a pre-selection. The pioneers of benevolence determined by the commission, will be submitted to the evaluation of the specially formed jury, among them including Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş, the President of Religious Affairs and our Chairman of the Board of Trustees. The names that will be entitled to receive the award will be determined by voting by the jury. We believe that every good deed is valuable, so the nomination process will be carried out meticulously.”
“WE AIM TO TELL THE WORLD THAT BENEVOLENCE CAN CHANGE SOMETHING”
Stating that they want to highlight the pioneers of kindness who can set an example for the world and the societies in which they live with the 'International Benevolence Awards' ceremony, which has become a tradition, Turan said, “It is important for us to reward the pioneers of kindness who weave the society in knots and leave lasting marks in the hearts of people. Our great book, the Qur'an, states, "Isn't the reward of goodness is goodness?" As the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation, which has been bringing benevolence to the world, especially our country, for nearly half a century, our aim with the International Benevolence Awards is to tell the world how benevolence turns into the hope of millions of people and can change things.”

Turan stated that the appreciated stories of the pioneers of benevolence, who break new ground in the world and in the society they live in, bring together different cultures through a benevolence, mobilize the society, inspire those around the world, and will surround the whole world, can be sent to the e-mail address "iyilikodulleri@tdv.org" until December 19, 2022. Turan noted that the awards will be given by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at a ceremony to be held at the Beştepe Presidential Complex People's Congress and Culture Center in March 2023, to the pioneers of benevolence deemed appropriate as a result of the evaluation of the jury.
