CHP came first in the elections with 37.76 percent of the votes across Turkey, and AK Party became the second party with 35.48 votes.

The voters, who placed a serious burden on the government, which became the local opposition, sent a message on many issues, from the economy to justice, from the Gaza issue to the local race for profit.

BOTH GOV'T LOST THE ELECTIONS AND THERE WAS A BIG DIFFERENCE

The AK Party, which was defeated in the local elections of March 31, suffered a historic difference in Istanbul and Ankara, where it was very assertive.

According to the election results, AK Party Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor candidate Murat Kurum could only receive 39.59 percent of the votes.

CHP Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu received 51.14 percent of the votes.

AK Party, which lost Istanbul with a difference of over 1 million votes, suffered a greater loss of votes in Ankara.

RECORD DIFFERENCE IN ANKARA

AK Party Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor candidate Turgut Altınok received 31.69 percent of the votes.

CHP Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor candidate Mansur Yavaş broke a record and received 60.38 percent of the votes.

CAN THE 4-YEAR PERIOD BE COMPLETED IN THIS TABLE?

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in his balcony speech where he evaluated the local election results, stated that they could not get the results they expected.

Pointing to the upcoming presidential elections, Erdogan said that he would remain at the top of the state for another 4 years.

Citizens who interpret Erdoğan's words differently think that it is impossible to continue with the current administration for another four years due to the current economic crisis, high inflation and high cost of living.
