Chairman of the Supreme Board of Elections, Ahmet Yener, announced yesterday afternoon that the presidential election is now in the second round, according to the tentative tentative results.
"As of 15.15, the number of domestic ballot boxes was opened by 100 percent, and the domestic participation rate was 88.92 percent. The participation rate abroad was 52.69 percent. Currently, there are 35,874 votes abroad whose data entry continues. According to tentative results that are currently uncertain; It was seen that Mr. Erdoğan received 49.51 percent of the vote, Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu 44.88 percent, Mr. Sinan Oğan 5.17 percent and Mr. Muharrem İnce 0.44 percent. If we accept that 35,874 votes, which were still entered into the system as of 15.15, were given to one of our top two candidates, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, it was seen that Mr. Erdogan's vote rate was 49.54 percent; Similarly, if we accept that all 35,874 votes were given to Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu, it was observed that he received 44.85 percent of the votes, and thus, it was seen that no candidate could win the eligibility for election, and it was decided by our committee to hold the second round of elections on Sunday, May 28, 2023", Yener said.
