The paid teaching system, which emerged to fill the existing teacher shortage, continues to victimize teachers.
Teachers, who want to properly practice their profession for which they have trained for years, react to having different conditions than their colleagues for whom they do the same job.
Being unemployed during the summer holidays is added to the grievances they experience due to their wages below the minimum wage and their incomplete insurance.
PRIVATE TEACHERS WANT A SOLUTION TO THE VICTIMIZATION
Paid teachers react to the lack of solutions to the problems they experienced during the academic year.
In addition, he points out that the closure of schools and the end of their insurance and their unemployment further increases the suffering they experience.
Teachers, who have been coming to the fore with their grievances for a long time, are trying to make their voices heard so that a solution to their problems can be found as soon as possible.
“PAID TEACHERS CANNOT EVEN APPLY FOR UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS”
Pointing out that teachers have new grievances every day, Paid Teachers Solidarity Association President Levent Atasoy emphasized the grievances of both veteran paid teachers and new teachers.
"Paid teachers became unemployed as schools were closed. No regulations have been made on paid teachers so far. They cannot even apply for unemployment benefits after their insurance ends with the closure of schools. How will these friends of ours make a living during the summer vacation? Atasoy asked.
“PAID TEACHERS CANNOT EVEN RETIRE”
Pointing out that paid teachers also face problems regarding retirement, Atasoy stated that EYT was introduced and gradual retirement was brought to the agenda.
"Even if veteran teachers, who have been working as paid teachers for years, want to pay their insurance premiums out of their pockets, they cannot retire because the Ministry of Education issues them with different codes, which causes another grievance," Atasoy added.
