While the discussions on the second minimum wage increase continue to remain on the agenda, the government is preparing to meet with employers in the near future. The ruling wing, which met with Türk-İş Confederation in the previous days, will also meet with employers.
“OUR COSTS HAVE INCREASED”
Employers filled their agendas with demands before the meeting. Stating that the rise in exchange rates, exorbitant hikes in bills and high inflation cause additional costs to employers, including workers, employers will support the increase in the purchasing power of workers and will ask the government to take responsibility for their increasing costs.
SUPPORT WILL BE REQUESTED FOR UNIONIZED WORKPLACES
The employer will base the support requests on registered employment and freedom of association. The demand for the government to subsidize the increasing costs in many items, especially the invoice and Social Security Institution (SGK) premium, for workplaces where there is a union organization in the workplaces and where collective agreements are made.
