CANDIDATES ARE WAITING FOR KYK APPLICATIONS TO START
The results of the 2023 YKS, which took place with the highest participation, were announced. While the total university quota was 923 thousand 411 in 2023, the number of placed candidates was announced as 898 thousand 24.
For students who have settled in universities, KYK applications are waiting for the start of their housing problems.
MINISTRY ACCELERATE ITS WORK TO INCREASE QUOTA
This year, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which has been working all over Turkey to prevent university students from experiencing housing problems, has accelerated its activities such as the construction of new dormitories and renting dormitories in the provinces.
In addition, the ministry, which sent a letter to the state institutions in the provinces, demanded the use of the guesthouses of the institutions against possible problems.
With the exorbitant increase in private student dormitories and rental flat prices, application rates to KYK dormitories are expected to increase.
THE CHEAPEST ROOM WILL BE 345 TL, THE MOST EXPENSIVE ROOM WILL BE 570 TL
While there are 6 different types of rooms in KYK, the distinction between these rooms varies with features such as the size of the room, the number of people staying, and the toilet and bathroom.
While the cheapest KYK dormitory is the 1st type, the dormitory with the highest fees is known as the 6th type.
While the new KYK dormitory fees for the year 2023-2024 were slightly increased, the cheapest room fee was increased from 275 TL to 345 TL, and the most expensive room fee was increased from 450 TL to 570 TL.
In addition to the room fees, the deposit rates were increased, while the lowest deposit was increased from 683 TL to 855 TL, and the highest deposit fee was increased from 1,933 TL to 1,365 TL.
