The political power, which cannot solve the economic crisis and the cost of living due to inflation, is trying to convince the citizens before the election with daily solutions and wage increases that dissolve in a few months.
While the debates on the election date were heating up, MHP Chairman Bahçeli, on behalf of the People's Alliance, pointed to the month of May.
Bahceli said, "It is not an early election, but an update of history," and added, "Let's finish this in May."
HE SAID “IT IS NOT A SNAP ELECTION, IT IS UPDATE”
While "ambiguous" statements were made from the AKP side that the election could be withdrawn to May, MHP Chairman Bahçeli called for the elections to be held in May.
“THE DISCUSSION END”
Speaking at the group meeting of his party, Bahçeli said: "It is our well-intentioned expectation that the discussions about when the presidential and parliamentary elections will be held as soon as possible, that the common mind and common democratic will in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey are embodied, and that a date that is suitable for the ordinary course of life together with the seasonal conditions is determined by consensus. If such a decision is made by the Veteran Parliament, it should be read and interpreted only as an update of the election date, not an early election."
CALL “SUPPORT” THE OPPOSITION
Bahçeli said that if the three-fifths majority needed to take the election decision in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey is not found, the President may decide to renew the elections in accordance with the second paragraph of Article 116 of the Constitution.
"If the opposition parties have not given up hope in the presidential and parliamentary elections, there will be no obstacle in front of a reasonable date in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to be determined by consensus. If the opposition parties do not have a situation to shy away from and if they really claim to be committed to the indispensable principles of democracy, if Aleppo is there, the ell is in the Parliament. It is our duty to hold elections in a festive mood," he added.
