U.S. reportedly makes new offer to Turkey on weapons, trade

U.S. envoy David Satterfield verbally offered Turkey a new trade package and F-35 jets, Turkish media outlets reported, without citing anyone.

The verbal offer on Friday includes the sale to Ankara of a Patriot missile defense system and lower tariffs on Turkish steel and aluminium, Haberturk newspaper reported on Tuesday. 
 
Media also reported that the U.S. may unveil a new economic package to boost bilateral trade to $100 billion from about $19 billion.
 
US Ambassador to Ankara transmitted orally by David Satterfield, the new proposal will be forwarded in writing to Turkey, it said. Satterfield, the economy will increase the volume of $100 billion announced.
 
Economic sanctions as aluminum and steel applied to Turkey from the United States increased customs duty had before. It was stated that these taxes would be reduced with the new proposal.
 
Also causing a new crisis and the recent removal of Turkey's F-35 program also expires. US new proposal which will be submitted to Turkey along with the F-35 and was announced to take back the scope of the Patriot system.
