Opposition forces are gathering to defend Syria’s Idlib as Russian and American forces prepare for occupation. The first threat to Syrians united under Jaysh al-Watan, which roughly translates to National Army, came from the U.S.

Americans who met in Jordan with top level opposition leaders urged them to withdraw troops from fronts against Assad and the PKK, and to work with the PKK/PYD against Daesh. The U.S. threatened the opposition, saying that if they did not comply, an embargo would be applied and they would have no place in Syria’s future as U.S. plans for an intervention in Idlib is ready.

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the European Union and the United States.

OPPOSITION IGNORES THREATS

Opposition forces say they will stick to the spirit of revolution despite Pentagon’s explicit threats. The opposition, who states that the threats of the U.S. first concentrated on the southern front (Dera) and expanded in recent days to include Idlib, voiced that they would unite 45 groups under a single roof and regain the 2011 revolution spirit.

The Syrian opposition emphasized that they will gain new victories against the PKK, Daesh and Assad, adding, "Our sole purpose is to work for the interests of the Syrian people and their future. We will not be involved in projects that do not include Turkey.”

Spokesmen of Usud al-Sharqiya and Forces of Martyr Ahmad al-Abdo said that the U.S. issued a direct threat and “The U.S. is explicitly pressuring us to ‘betray the revolution.’”

UNITY OF 45 GROUPS

Opposition forces that were threatened by the Pentagon are preparing to unite under the leadership of Syrian Interim Government Prime Minister Jawad Abu Hatab, former Defense Minister Selim Idris, Free Syriam Army (FSA) Founding Commander Riyad Esad and former Aleppo Military Council Chairman Abduljabbar Ageydi.

Approximately 45 opposition groups from Dera, Humus, Hama, Idlib, Damascus, Latakia countryside and Aleppo’s north have agreed to unite.

US SAVED DAESH

It was alleged that the U.S. evacuated leaders of the Daesh terrorist organization from Syria's Deir ez-Zor. According to Russian news agency Sputnik, based on a military and diplomatic source, U.S. helicopters evacuated about 20 Daesh field leaders from Deir ez-Zor to northern Syria on Aug. 26. Daesh members were evicted to be used in "other directions" and two of them were of European origin.

"A number of field [Daesh] commanders backed by U.S. special services, had been promptly evacuated from Deir ez-Zor to safer regions in order to use their experience in other directions," a military and diplomatic source told Sputnik.
