Venezuelas President Arrives in Turkey to Strengthen Ties

Venezuela's President Nicolás Maduro has arrived in Turkey to ratify bilateral relations and strengthen strategic ties.
 
Maduro arrived at the Esenboga International Airport in the Turkish capital Ankara.
 
It's the latest stage on his tour which included visits to Belarus and Russia.
 
The meetings in those countries focused on energy, agriculture, trade and military matters.
 
In Belarus, Maduro held a bilateral meeting with his counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko, and ratified the ties of brotherhood and cooperation between the two nations.
 
At the end of the meeting, the Venezuelan president took part in the Sowing of the Tree ceremony and unveiled a bust of the South American Liberator Simon Bolivar in the capital Minsk.
 
While in Moscow, Maduro held a working meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, reinforcing diplomatic ties and strategic relations.
 
The Venezuelan head of state also took part in the Forum Russia Energy Week 2017.
