An imam in the Sandıklı district of Afyonkarahisar offers biscuits and chocolate to the children who come to prayer and plays games together in the game room he established. Ali Günel, who has been an imam in Ekinhisar village of the district for 4 years, greets children who come to the mosque for time prayers at the door.
After the worship, Günel offers the children the chocolate, fruit juice, cake and biscuits they want.
Later, Günel goes to the game room with the children and plays table tennis, table football and console games.
Saying to the journalists that they have done two beautiful projects in their villages in order to encourage the children to the mosque, Günel thanked the philanthropists for their support.
"The aim of our project is to instill our national and spiritual values in our children. In addition, children are happy with the gifts they buy from the mosque market we have established and the table tennis, table football and console games they play in the game room," he said.
VILLAGERS PRAISE THE IMAM'S PROJECTS
Süleyman Oğuz, 78, one of the villagers, also stated that he liked the projects and Ali Günel's approach to children.
"More children come to our mosque during the summer holidays. They are also provided by our philanthropic citizens," he said.
Osman Uğur also said that children started to come to the mosque with projects and that they appreciated Ali Günel.
One of the children is Ömür Atasoy, "We come to our mosque. We do our prayer. Our teacher gives us biscuits and chocolates. We are very happy," she said.
One of the children, Mustafa Berk Yolcu, stated that they loved the imam, Ali Günel, and that he made them love the mosque.
