According to unofficial results, President Erdoğan won in Anatolia and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu won in three big cities.

Due to the fact that the candidates could not get an absolute majority in the Presidential Election held on May 14, Turkey went to the polls again to determine the new president. In the second round of voting, which took place for the first time in Turkish political history, President Erdoğan came first from the ballot box.

According to the uncertain results announced by the Supreme Election Board (YSK), President Erdoğan came first in the ballot box.

The YSK, which will share the final results with the public in the next few days, announced the participation rate in the second round.

In the President and Deputy General Elections held on May 14, 57 million of 64 million registered voters went to the ballot box and voted, this figure reached 87 percent with the foreign votes.

In the second round of elections, which took place for the first time in Turkey's political history, the voter turnout decreased by 2 percent to 85.

It was seen that the messages given by the candidate of the Nation Alliance, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, and the parties that are the alliance partners, to increase the participation in the ballot box before the election, did not receive sufficient response from the voters.

On the other hand, the number of invalid votes in the first round was 1 million 37 thousand, and the number of invalid votes in the second round was 683 thousand.

President Erdoğan, who won the votes of 27 million voters in the first round, increased his votes by 591 thousand votes in the second round, according to the uncertain results announced by the YSK.

Nation Alliance candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who hardened the campaign language, especially in the alliance negotiations before the second round, could not close the gap of 2.3 million despite increasing 838 thousand compared to the first round.

Nation Alliance candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu similarly increased his votes in 8 provinces affected by the earthquake, while Adana was the province where the votes increased the most. On the other hand, the voters gave important messages about the local elections that will be held 10 months later.

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was ahead in Istanbul and Ankara in the first round, continued this situation.

Kılıçdaroğlu, who received 51.78 percent of the votes in Istanbul, finished ahead in the election race with 51.23 percent in Ankara.
