The Labor Minister frightened the 7 million minimum wage earners that waiting for good news.

The minimum wage bargaining, which concerns close to 7 million employees, has started. The demands of workers and employers' representatives will be discussed on the table. 
 
Family, Labor and Social Services Minister Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, who made a statement after the meeting, said the final minimum wage figure will be determined at the 4th meeting in the last week of December.

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission, consisting of workers, employers and government representatives, held its first meeting under the chairmanship of Family, Labor and Social Services Minister Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk to determine the minimum wage to be valid in 2020. 
 
Workers Unions Confederation of Turkey (Türk-İş) represented the employees side and Confederation of Employer Associations (TISK) represented employeers side. 
 
Although the minimum wage, in essence is a social protection fee that affects many items one-to-one, Minister Selcuk said that the minimum wage will be determined after the 4th meeting hosted by the ministry as of the last week of December.

NET MINIMUM WAGE 2020 TURKISH LIRAS

 
Minimum wage, is still 2,558 liras for single workers, taxes and after the cut of deductions it wage fell to 2,020 liras are applied as a net. 
 
Apartment workers, unlike normal workers, income and stamp taxes are not cut net 2,174 liras they get paid. The total cost of the minimum wage to the employer, 3,006 liras for a single worker.
