In his speech at the program, Pakistan's Ambassador to Ankara, Dr. Yousaf Junaid, stated that the biggest obstacle to the solution of the Kashmir issue is India, and that the biggest support on the Kashmir issue has been Turkey so far.

"We are grateful to our Turkish brothers for being the loud voice of Kashmiris in their struggle for self-determination. We also remember with love the late Necmettin Erbakan, one of the strongest supporters of the Kashmir cause," Junaid said.

Pakistan Ambassador Yousaf Junaid made important evaluations at the program jointly organized by the Center for Economic and Social Research and the International Youth Forum.

In the program attended by non-governmental organization representatives, political party officials and many citizens, Ambassador Junaid expressed his sadness on the anniversary of the earthquake disaster and offered his condolences once again.

Junaid also stated that they shared the pain by saying, "It was also Pakistan that lost 50 thousand brothers."

Ambassador Junaid stated that both countries experienced their pain together and told about an incident he experienced during the great flood disaster in Pakistan in 2010.

Junaid stated that he was the Consul General in Istanbul at that time and was working for aid, and said that a retired mathematics teacher came to the consulate with his pension and wanted to provide aid.

"An old uncle came and said he was retired. He stated that he wanted to help by taking one month's pension. When I asked him how he was going to make ends meet, he said, 'I told my neighbors, can you look after me for a month?' He said that his neighbor said, 'I will take my salary to the consulate for help and drop it off.' I was very touched. Even now I don't know how to express this situation," Junaid added

“WE REMEMBER KASHMIR'S GREATEST DEFENDER ERBAKAN”

Junaid also stated that he sees himself as the representative of both countries.

"You have been our voice on the Kashmir issue. We are grateful to our Turkish brothers for being the loud voice of Kashmiris in their struggle for self-determination. We also remember with love the late Necmettin Erbakan, one of the strongest supporters of the Kashmir cause," Junaid said.

“IT REMAINS UNSOLVED BECAUSE OF INDIA”

The Ambassador also stated that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute is the oldest issue on the agenda of the UN Security Council, and said, "The UN Security Council Resolutions stipulate that the final decision on who should retain Jammu and Kashmir should be made in accordance with the free will of its people, expressed democratically in the form of a free and impartial plebiscite held under the auspices of the UN. This dispute remains unresolved due to India's stubborn refusal to honor its commitments and disrespect for fundamental human rights and international law."
