Trade Union of Public Employees in Health and Social Services (Sağlık-Sen) Ministry Branch came together in front of the ministry to react to the fact that health workers working in the central organization of the Ministry of Health and its affiliated institutions and organizations could not benefit from the 20 percent increase in fixed additional payments and made a press statement.

In the press release, depriving the employees of central organization of the Ministry of Health, the General Directorate of Health of the Border and Coasts, the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TİTCK) and 2,500 employees in the research staff of the central organization of the Ministry of Health, from the 20 percent increase in fixed additional payments through collective agreements, is stated as an unjust, disrupting the working peace application.

“OUR WORKS ARE DESPISED”

In the statement, which stated that this injustice should end as soon as possible, “These people spend overtime. These people are sweating. These people sometimes take part in the filiation team. In other words, they both do their job and fulfill their assigned duties to the letter. So why they can not use 20 percent additional payment increase? Doesn't the ministry know that this injustice disrupts the working peace? Doesn't the ministry know that this discrimination hurts the conscience? We can never consent to the ignoring of our 2,500 healthcare workers and the contempt for their efforts,” the statement said.
