In the statement made by the Confederation, “Today, we are experiencing a systemic crisis and in order to overcome this crisis, it is necessary to implement a system that we can call stakeholder participation in particular,” the statement said.
The Memur-Sen Confederation, which leads the way in the solution of many problems and human rights violations, especially the democratization of the country, and carries out the labor struggle, is 27 years old. The confederation, which was founded under the leadership of the late Mehmet Akif Inan and has grown to this day, has succeeded in becoming the largest civil servant confederation with the number of members exceeding one million.
A FAIR WORLD AGAINST RUDE POLICIES
In the statement made by the confederation on the occasion of its foundation anniversary, “In a room in the whirlpool of the 90s, when covert coups, anti-democratic practices were dominant, and the wheels of tutelage put the people of the country, especially the labor sector, in a whirlwind, the Confederation of Civil Servants' Unions, which was established with national and local ideas by Mehmet Akif Inan and a group of idealists, their roots went deep into these lands, has become the largest labor organization in Turkey and the region, with the number of members reaching 1 million 54 thousand 672 today,” the statement added. In the continuation of the statement, “Memur-Sen, who expanded his horizons on a global scale to ensure the solidarity of labor against the equation created by capitalist imperialism, communicated with labor organizations in all continents and developed strategies to fortify a line of resistance, is against outdated neo-liberal policies; It raises its voice and promise for a fair world every day,” the statement said.
“THE AIM IS TO ENSURE JUSTICE IN SHARING”
In the statement, saying "The greatest goal is undoubtedly to ensure justice in distribution," the statement added, "With our organized power and intellectual capacity, we both warn policy makers and present our proposals to them, in order to prevent the deepening injustice in income distribution, and to produce policies that will ensure social justice." While emphasizing that the current crisis is a systemic crisis, in the last part of the statement made by the Confederation, "We are experiencing a systemic crisis at the point we have reached with our 27 years of experience, and in order to overcome this crisis, a system that we can call stakeholder participation must be put into practice. It is not possible for us to disperse the current crisis whirlpool without fortifying social solidarity and operating the consultation system with those concerned. Memur-Sen Confederation is determined to take the initiative in solving the current crisis, both with system analysis and with the theses it developed on the problems of the social stratum it is based on in our country,” the statement said.
