The 12th Short Film Script Competition, organized by the Conscious Teachers Association (ÖĞ-DER) Headquarters Promotion Commission with the support of the Ministry of Culture, General Directorate of Cinema, has concluded.
 
The awards were delivered to the winners of the competition at a ceremony held at the EBS hotel in Ankara.
 
Speaking at the ceremony, ÖĞ-DER Chairman Numan Gökmen stated that the Western world continues its corrupt activities.
 
"As the Islamic World, as Anatolian people, we have no choice but to take a stand against and create a new alternative," Gökmen said.
 
The awards of the Short Film Script Competition, organized for the 12th time this year by the Conscious Teachers Association (ÖĞ-DER), found their owners.
 
The award ceremony of this year's competition, whose theme was 'Patience and Pain', was held at EBS Hotel in Ankara, and the winners of the 5 winning scripts were given their awards.
 
While the award ceremony program started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu sent a telegram and expressed his gratitude for the resulting scenario work.
 
Saadet Party Samsun Deputy Mehmet Karaman and Saadet Party Ankara Deputy Mesut Doğan attended the award program.
 

“THE MASSACRE CONTINUES IN GAZA THANKS TO THE USA AND WESTERN COUNTRIES THAT SUPPORT ISRAEL”

 
Delivering a speech at the award ceremony, Conscious Teachers Association (ÖĞ-DER) Chairman Numan Gökmen drew attention to the massacre in Gaza and stated that Israel wants to hegemony the whole world.
 
"Israel, which has been murdering babies and innocent people in front of the world for two months and working to keep 8 billion people under hegemony and enslaving them, continues to commit massacres in Gaza with its supporters, the USA and Western countries. I wish God's mercy to our martyred brothers," Gökmen added.
 

“WE HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO ESTABLISH A NEW ALTERNATIVE”

 
Pointing out that cinema continues to influence people all over the world with its power, Gökmen stated that cinema has influenced society.
 
"The Western world is trying to make our children look like them with their corrupt actions. Sometimes they do this with movie scripts and sometimes with articles. In the face of this, as the Islamic world and the people of Anatolia, we have no choice but to take a stand against this and establish a new alternative," Gökmen said.
 

A JURY STAFF OF 4 EXAMINED THE SCENARIOS

 
While short film scripts from all over Turkey participated in the competition, important names also served as jury members.
 
The jury consisted of four people: cinema critic Ali Burak Cesur, writer-director Nizamettin Kars, director-screenwriter İbrahim Demirkan and teacher Abdurrahman Erbaş.
 
A jury of 4 members made the selection among 82 scenarios sent.
 

AWARDS FOUND THEIR OWNERS

 
Those who participated in the competition and were eligible to receive awards were determined.
 
Meryem Gemicioğlu, who participated from Van, won the first prize with her work titled 'Who Are You', and received her award from Songül Keser, President of the Conscious Teachers Association Headquarters Women's Commission.
 
While Gökmen Küçüktaşdemir from Izmir won the second prize with his script called 'Bağ', he received his award from Numan Gökmen, Chairman of the Conscious Teachers Association.
 
Osman Çakır, who participated in the competition from Kırşehir, won the third prize with his script called 'Gasil', and received his award from Saadet Party Samsun Deputy Mehmet Karaman.
 
While Süleyman Çetinkaya from Mersin won the Ahmet Uluçay special award with his script titled 'Can Anyone Hear My Voice?', he received his award from Nihat Değirmenci, Head of Department of the General Directorate of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
 
While Cihan Yıldırım from Istanbul won the special award for Ayşe Şasa with his script titled 'My Mother Turned Ten', he received his award from Hüseyin Yavuz, Managing Editor of Milli Şuur Magazine.
