While the rent discussions started by the municipalities in Turkey under the name of expropriation continued, the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality's persistent desire to expropriate the apartment where the Solmaz and Büyük families lived, on the grounds of 'we will build a road', caused confusion.
It is claimed that Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, which gave an expropriation price of 130 thousand TL per flat and 130 thousand TL per shop, far below the housing prices in the region, did not keep any promises it made to the Solmaz family during the process that has been going on for 2 years.
Abdullah Büyük, speaking to the Milli Gazete about the unfair and unlawful expropriation, called on the authorities and demanded an end to the persecution they were subjected to.
One of the controversial expropriation cases of local governments in Turkey continues in Tekkeköy, Samsun.
Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, which wanted to expropriate the family apartment with 7 houses and 3 shops, where the Solmaz and Büyük families lived, on the grounds of "we will build a road", made them say that it would not be possible.
According to the claims of Solmaz and Büyük families, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality has been doing its best to buy their house for 2 years.
Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, which gave an expropriation price of 130 thousand TL per flat and 130 thousand TL per shop, far below the housing prices in the region, has not kept any of its promises to the Solmaz and Büyük families until now.
Abdullah Büyük, who made a special statement to our newspaper about the unfair and unlawful expropriation, claimed that the road project was an excuse and that his apartments would be used in rent projects by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality.
“WE CAN'T EVEN BUY 2 FLATS WITH THE 2 MILLION TL THEY GIVE FOR THE APARTMENT”
Abdullah Büyük, by describing the injustices they were exposed to under the name of expropriation, he said, "For 2 years, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality and Tekkeköy Municipality want to demolish the apartment where we live with 7 families, for unfair reasons. In this process, my uncle Veysel Solmaz, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir and Tekkeköy Mayor Hasan Togar held many meetings on the subject. Mayors made many promises to our uncle, but he kept none of them. There is even a photograph of the day Mustafa Demir promised, 'We will not demolish your house for 15 years'. But now none of the promises made have been kept. Our uncle Veysel Solmaz could not stand this persecution and passed away two months ago. There is cruelty to us here. We can't even buy 2 flats with the 2 million TL they give for the whole apartment."
Stating that Samsun Metropolitan Municipality used the road project as an excuse to demolish its buildings, Abdullah Büyük said, "The apartment we live in is at the busiest point of Tekkeköy. Our apartment, which was a favorite of the contractors before the expropriation decision, is now officially wanted to be usurped by the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality. To this end, they threatened us, slandered us, humiliated us. This building is now more than just its monetary value for us. We are a family that stands by our state at every opportunity. Now some people in government agencies are using their powers unfairly. There was no door we didn't knock on in Ankara, but no one heard our voices. We are calling out to the authorities again, when will you end the persecution of us by those who use the authority of the state."
