Gasoline increased by 55 cents, diesel by 67, and LPG by 35 cents. Another blow to the citizen, who had a hard time due to the pandemic and economic crisis, was hit by the SCT!
PRESIDENT'S DECISION IS PUBLISHED IN THE OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER
The price hikes on the Special Consumption Tax (SCT) in fuel, by the President's decision, entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette. Accordingly, the Special Consumption Tax (SCT) received from fuel products was increased by 54 percent, 78 percent and 189 percent. The amount of SCT was increased from 0.8652 TL to 1.3313 TL per liter for 95 octane gasoline and from 1.0283 TL to 1.5836 TL for 98 octane gasoline. While the amount of SCT was increased from 0.7253 TL per liter to 1.2931 TL in diesel, butane, propane and LPG used as fuel in motor vehicles were increased from 0.2810 TL to 0.8107 TL. The decision will be valid from today.

CEILING PRICE WAS FINISHED ON MAY 19
With the decision taken by the Energy Market Supervisory Board (EMRA), the ceiling price application in fuel, which was started to be implemented in Turkey on March 18, on the grounds of "preventing speculation", ended on the night of May 17th. After the ceiling price application ended, gasoline and diesel prices were increased by 10 cents.
In the statement made by the Energy, Petrol, Gas Supply Stations Employers' Union (EPGİS), it was announced that the price of gasoline was increased by 55 cents per liter, 67 cents for diesel, and 35 cents for LPG after the tax regulation.
Gasoline per liter rose to approximately 7.74 TL in Istanbul, 7.81 TL in Ankara, and 7.82 TL in Izmir. Liter of diesel was 7.24 TL in Istanbul, 7.31 TL in Ankara and 7.32 TL in Izmir.
