The articles of the proposal, whose negotiations have been completed, will be started. It was noteworthy that article 29 in the bill of law was brought back to the Parliament.

Therefore, the 29th article in the said law proposal will provide a great privilege to global food companies. The said item, which was on the agenda before the parliament was closed, was withdrawn due to the reactions from the public. However, with the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, while the omnibus law was introduced exactly, it drew attention that the 29th article was also included.

As it is known, although there are many scientific data that starch-based sugars are harmful to health, it is brought to the agenda in studies that reveal the exact opposite in global markets. Due to the pressures in the global markets, the harmfulness of starch-based sugars to health cannot be revealed by a scientific authority. That is why the studies of universities and scientists are not accepted as an official opinion.
